What was once just admired for its craftsmanship and charm, Conestoga Wagon pieces are now highly coveted and collectible. We are thrilled to be able to offer this awesome 1950s vintage buckle and bolo set by widely revered Zuni artisan Lincoln Zunie. This magnificent set features a wagon themed inlay of turquoise, onyx, coral and mother of pearl. The silver buckle is flanked with turquoise. In addition to the silverwork in the buckle and bolo slide is the absolutely stunning attention to detail in the bolo tips that are the turquoise-embellished wagon wheels.
Lincoln Zunie (1938-1983, Zuni). Active 1960s-1970s. Channel inlay; figural inlay, often horse or cow motifs. Father of Patty Zunie Edaakie. Brother of Joe and William Zunie. Lincoln Zunie shared the stamp with his wife Helen Zunie (d).
